About Us
Unique Individual Ranch is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable after-school care and a camp experience to children and young adults who have special needs. Our goal is to give each participant the opportunity to reach his or her full potential in a safe and supportive environment surrounded by well-trained staff who have a passion for working with this population.
We provide small staff to participant ratios, behavior assistance, and bathroom assistance, if necessary. Our team focuses on:
- Individualized care tailored to a child’s specific needs.
- Creating opportunities for socialization to improve social skills and foster a sense of community and belonging.
- Providing a safe and secure environment where the staff-to-participant ratios are typically 1:4, and the well-being of participants is paramount.

Nehemiah Lamb

Nehemiah H. Lamb, the founder of Unique Individual Ranch, has charted a truly remarkable journey fueled by his deep passion for working with children, particularly those with special needs and disabilities. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Nehemiah’s formative years as a Sunday school teacher and youth leader laid the foundation for his commitment to empowering young people. These early experiences shaped his understanding of childcare dynamics and instilled in him a lifelong dedication to service.
After earning a B.S. in Industrial Technology with a focus on Construction Management from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Nehemiah returned to Atlanta and began his career at the YMCA. His roles over the years ranged from lifeguard and swim instructor to summer camp counselor and site director. In each position, he developed invaluable expertise in program management and leadership, overseeing large-scale initiatives such as summer camps and after-school programs.
During his time at the YMCA, Nehemiah noticed a glaring gap in services for children with special needs and disabilities in his community. Despite efforts to create inclusive programs, he recognized the need for specialized, tailored services to truly support these children. Driven by a profound sense of purpose, he founded Unique Individual Ranch in 2015, a transformative organization dedicated to offering high-quality, personalized programs that enhance independence, foster social interaction, and promote community inclusion for children with special needs.
Unique Individual Ranch is more than just a service provider; it is a reflection of Nehemiah’s visionary leadership. His goal is to build a dedicated facility that will expand the impact of the organization, serving more children and families and providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive.
Nehemiah’s unwavering commitment to the special needs community has earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Presidential Gold Humanitarian Award, recognizing his exceptional contributions to social good and advocacy.
